THE INCLUSIVITY INITIATIVE

What is The Inclusive Initiative?
The Inclusive Initiative is a student-led effort to build more understanding and supportive communities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through awareness programs, storytelling, and accessible resources, we aim to help schools and youth move beyond token inclusion - towards empathy, acceptance and belonging.

Most people think of inclusion as just a buzzword - something abstract that looks nice on a brochure. But for a person with an intellectual disability, inclusion is not an idea. It’s the difference between being seen as capable or invisible, between being invited to the table or left outside the room.

Meet the founder: Pranay Jain
Hello! I am Pranay, a student at The Shri Ram School, Aravali, and the founder of The Inclusive Initiative.
My journey toward creating this initiative started in early 2024 with a simple realization that inclusion requires more than just awareness; it requires experienced. I realized how even well-intentioned classmates never were able to connect to peers with intellectual and developmental disabilities, not through lack of intent, but uncertainty.

I wanted to change that.

Through the design of interactive dialogues and activities that made empathy real, I learned how quickly understanding could be transformed into inclusion. That assumption formed the foundation for this initiative - that actual change starts when we leave behind the talk of inclusion and begin to live it.
